LONDON, 1 November 2026. SpaceMine Ltd today opened its Minecraft: Java Edition server hosting to everyone. Customers choose a plan and their server is set up instantly. It runs on hardware SpaceMine owns and is managed from a control panel SpaceMine built from scratch.
SpaceMine was first announced in 2016 as an idea for free Minecraft hosting. To deliver it, the company needed a platform it controls end to end, from the panel customers use to the machines their servers run on. That platform is now live with paid plans, and SpaceMine is excited to let customers experience it for the first time. Work on the free tier continues.
Launch offer
Every plan is 50% off for the first month until 14 November. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
| Plan | Memory | First month | Then per month | Order |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 2 GB | $3.75 | $7.50 | Order |
| Core | 4 GB | $7.50 | $15 | Order |
| Power | 8 GB | $15 | $30 | Order |
| Ultimate | 16 GB | $30 | $60 | Order |
What customers get
- Unlimited storage on every plan
- A control panel built for Minecraft, with a live console, a file manager and editor, one-click plugin installs, and a switch for server software and game version
- Team access with each member's own permissions, so nobody shares a password
- Live chat support, including an assistant that reads the server's console, finds the cause of an error and explains how to fix it
- A choice of Vanilla, Paper, Fabric, Forge or NeoForge, covering survival worlds, plugin servers, mods and modpacks
- Liquid-cooled AMD Ryzen and EPYC processors with NVMe storage, chosen for Minecraft's reliance on single-thread speed
Locations
Servers are available now in Los Angeles, California. Europe is coming soon.
Free tier
Free hosting was the idea behind SpaceMine in 2016, and it remains the goal. The company is developing custom technology to run a free tier without slowing down paid servers, and will announce it first on its Discord.
